Mental health is an important part of overall wellness and holistic care. Starting a conversation with your GP is a great first step to address your mental health concerns. Your GP can guide you through the process of accessing psychological supports, whether that’s through a mental health care plan or by referring to services that best fit your needs.

Our goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where you can express your thoughts freely and provide recommendations for external services best suited for your needs. LGBTQI+ encompasses individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse, non-binary, intersex, queer, or questioning. The health needs of these communities can differ from those of their heterosexual and cisgender peers. Factors such as access to care and a lack of understanding surrounding specific needs can create barriers to appropriate support.
At GRMC, we recognize the unique and nuanced health needs of LGBTQI+ individuals. Our services are predominantly peer-led, ensuring that we offer compassionate and informed care that truly resonates with our communities. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels understood and supported.
Happy New Year from Gladstone Road Medical Centre (GRMC). We hope that 2026 has gotten off to a good start for you and your loved ones, and we thank you for your continued support.
In 2025, Dr Ken and Dr Ethan were joined by Dr Mitch Krosch at GRMC, who has brought a new energy and set of skills to the clinic. The nursing team has also had changes at GRMC, and we are excited to move forward with the current team, headed by Clinical Nurse Bryant working with Enrolled Nurses Kelly and Natasha.
In September 2023, Dr Ken and Dr Ethan made the difficult decision to transition to fully private billing practices. This was so they could continue to provide you with the highest level of services and clinical care.
The Doctors have continued to monitor the financial environment in 2024 and 2025, and have been absorbing rising costs without increasing their fees. The fee you pay covers the costs of clinical care provided by your doctor, and other myriad expenses such as GRMC staff wages, office costs, building costs, regulatory costs, insurance costs and other ancillary costs.
In 2026, the Doctors have come to a sad realisation that they can no longer absorb these costs and operate in a financially responsible and sustainable manner. Dr Ken, Dr Ethan, and Dr Mitch are committed to maintaining and providing the highest quality healthcare for you. They do not believe in a ‘production line’ model of medical practice which will happen if current billing levels were to continue.
Unfortunately, consultation fees for your doctors will rise from 1 March 2026.
The providers understand that the financial environment is also difficult for you. If you are concerned about the cost of your care, please discuss the issue with your doctor at your next appointment. Each individual doctor retains discretion over their billing and asks that you discuss the issue at the START of your next consult.
Please find the general billing practices of the doctors as below, further details are available with the administration team.
